We are located in the south eastern corner of Allegany County in Western New York. Down in the Southern Tier.We are new to the whole world wide web, as far as being on it.  We gather information of paranormal claims through research, interviews, scientific equipment, and word of mouth to either prove or disprove the existance of paranormal activity.

No!, we don't charge a fee for our services and time we spend. We do however accept donations for our continued ability to serve other clients. These donations help pay for equipment, batteries, gas for travel, lodging.

AIP, doesn't confirm the authenticity of photos or stories posted on our site. Some things are just un-known, and these are things we found of intrest. all photos collected and submitted are for the viewer to decide on, and enjoy.

                       How the process with A.I.P. is conducted

1: Contact us. The first step comes from you.

   
2: You will receive a reply from one of our members within a day or two.. We will need to ask some questions. Please answer as honestly as possible, no matter how strange you think it may sound. These questions help us to help you.

3: If we determine that an investigation is warranted, a preliminary investigation will be scheduled. A member or two of our members will come to the location to conduct an in-depth interview and preliminary observations, and some base readings. This is usually done within a week of first contact.

4: A full investigation may then be scheduled.

5: A team of investigators will visit the location. Extensive measurements and readings will be taken with electromagnetic sensors, Thermometers, motion detectors, and photographic and video equipment along with audio will be used.

6: Background research can/will be done. This may require information from you regarding the legal description of the property. This step may be conducted following the preliminary investigation. This process helps us shed some light on the history of the site in question.

7: If you wish, results of the investigation will be compiled and a report will be issued to you at no cost.

    
8: We realize that most people who experience paranormal phenomena are frightened and want to rid themselves of this as soon as possible. Eliminating such phenomena is very tricky and sometimes impossible. We will try our best to help, and if needed, we will try to bring in investigators from other groups who may be able to help with something more complicated. An exorcism can be arranged through us if wanted, using clergy from your faith. This may take a little time to arrange, but steps will be taken to help you.
 
All investigating is done FREE OF CHARGE. We ask for no payment for our services. If extreme measures are needed such as airline tickets, long travel, several overnight stays, etc., we may ask for assistance in travel expenses and so forth.

As a member of Allegany Investigations of the Paranormal, you will be entitled to an enriching field, as well as a chance to experience and investigate paranormal phenomena first hand.

Membership Requirements

Those interested in becoming investigators (or other staff) with A.I.P. should complete the form listed on the A.I.P. forum and contact us page. Your request will be reviewed by a senior staff member and you will then be contacted shortly thereafter regarding your membership. Please note that once you have been accepted as an A.I.P. member, and should you wish to start investigations with the team, you are required to attend at least one training seminar that will include all the basics on equipment knowledge and the investigation process. You will then continue to train with A.I.P. until it is determined that you are ready to participate in, and conduct, site investigations with an assembled team.

Please note the following mandatory requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a clean criminal record.
• Must be drug free.
• Must be smoke free.( or abide by the set guidelines)
• Must be alcohol free when investigating for A.I.P.
• Must be willing to travel up to 120 miles from home.
• Must be professional and maintain a decent appearance while investigating.
• Must have a good working knowledge of Paranormal Phenomena and Investigation procedures. ( this will be shown during orientation and the training seminar)
• Must be willing to follow A.I.P. protocol and guidelines for investigations.
• Must have a valid and in good standing driver's license.
• Must be willing to participate in ongoing training through A.I.P.
• Must be willing to read material related to the field to help yourself and the team.
• Must be courteous of the Clients needs and wishes per case.
• All above requirments may be disscussed and reviewed at the descretion of A.I.P. Admin.
